Project 1: Recreating an Old Master's Painting.

Solution:

As simple as the original portrait by John looks, this clearly wasn't an easy solution. It took about 45 shots till I managed to capture this one, and a lot of patience from the model's side too. The shadow was achieved by placing a black cloth that was held by two people above the model; in order to block the light to some extent.
the yellow glow that the picture has is from the lighting of the setting and the brighter parts are due to the camera's flash.
